Dear Dad/Grandpa,
Happy father's day! I wish you were here to tell you how much we love you and give you a big hug. From drr drr tubes, to the "nobody loves dear old Nate/Anna" song, to playing billy goats gruff, to noodling something thru, to making up stories in your head to help you fall asleep (I was coaching Nate on how to do that just last night when he was having troubling settling down), you are always very much a presence in our lives even when you aren't physically with us. But besides all that, the most important thing that you give us is how we feel that nobody will ever love us as much as you do.
You are the best of the best and I can't wait to see you this weekend. In the meantime, enjoy the old time photo of you with your keikis.
We love you!

Sarah, why are you so awesome?
What a handsome Dad you have, keikis!
What an adorable photo! You all look the same today!
Your dad must have loved this post. :)
Ah Charlotte! I surely did. When I'm on travel (like now), I check it all the time--Liz's too--to see if there's anything new.
The four of them were absolutely lovely, interesting, funny and good children. I'd give about anything to go back for one hour just to see them in action again!
I do get a chance to see them though in the grandchildren--a smile, a look, the way they walk or love to climb: I can see the same things that our kids do in the next generation. Baby Anna is a SKBM doppleganger, for example.
Sarah's post did make my day (and the email it generated!)!
I hope I see you at the big #1 Birthday Party on Sunday!
Peter
Peter! It's great to hear about the four of them from a father's perspective. They're lucky to have you. :) It must be especially rewarding to see what great spouses and parents they've grown up to be.
I love this photo of Sarah and her doppelganger: http://charlottegeary.smugmug.com/photos/314989671_WoBjY-O.jpg
Anna is such a little sweetheart!
